Karen K. Mitchell, President, has in excess of 24 years in land planning and development review activities. She is experienced in both the public and private sectors having been a City Planner for the cities of Killeen, and Denton and Director of Planning and Development for the cities of Crowley and Haltom City. For the past five years, Karen has been a private consultant for the development community as well as municipalities. In addition, Karen is active with the American Planning Association and the City Planners Association of Texas. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association.   Karen has also served on the Executive Committee for the Texas State University Alumni Association Board of Directors as the Secretary/Treasurer and was recently elected as Vice President. She is also the past- Director of the Midwest Section of the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association and is currently on the appointed team charged with training Planning and Zoning Commissioners and elected officials state-wide. Karen also serves as an expert witness in land use related legal cases.
